CASSIUS&Co. presents Mimi Lauter: Sea, Sky, and Fire. Everything but the Earth, an exhibition of pastel works made before and after the Los Angeles fires of 2025, opening on Thursday 22nd May at 63 Kinnerton Street, SW1X 8ED. The works will be presented alongside an exhibition of rare books on botany and natural history dating from the 16th century to the present day.
Mimi Lauter (b. 1982, San Francisco) has lived and worked in Los Angeles for the last two decades. She is represented by Mendes Wood DM (Sao Paolo, Brussels, Paris, New York), and has been the subject of solo exhibitions at White Cube Bermondsey (Ruach, 2023) and Blum & Poe (Sensus Oxynation, 2018). Her work is represented in the collections of the Frederick R Weisman Art Foundation, Los Angeles; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; He Art Museum, Foshan, China; Henry Art Gallery at University of Washington, Seattle; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; Marciano Art Foundation, Los Angeles; Nixon Collection, London; Rachofsky Foundation, Dallas; Santa Barbara Museum, Santa Barbara; Tanoto Foundation, Singapore; Wagner Foundation, Boston.
